Board of Directors

Reverend Walter Nolte is the Pastor of Saint Patrick Parish and therefore serves as the Director of Campus Ministry at Bergan Catholic and an ex officio member of the Board of Directors.  Rev. Nolte has over twenty years of involvement of education of students in a Catholic School System with experiences in Creighton, Norfolk Catholic and Omaha Catholic Schools.  As the Director of Campus Ministry Rev. Nolte is responsible for the spiritual education and Catholic teachings incorporated into Bergan Catholic.  Rev. Nolte states, “The entire mission of our parish is about the salvation of souls. Everything else comes in second. I have heard people say that our children are the future of our parish, but I say that they are our parish in the here and now. This is why I am so passionate about teaching our youth about God’s love for them. It is our responsibility to form them in ways of the faith by offering them opportunities to experience the love that God has for them personally. Encountering God’s personal love for them was what enticed the first disciples to follow Jesus along the way. It will do the same for all us still today. Once we are caught by God’s love we will want to remain there eternally.”
